Karanvir Bohra Booked For Cheating 40-Year-Old Woman Of Rs 1.99 Crores; Complainant Claims Actor, His Wife Threatened To Shoot Her-Report
Legal troubles seem to be mounting for popular television actor Karanvir Bohra! A case has been registered against him and five others in Oshiwara police station for allegedly cheating a 40-year-old woman of Rs 1.99 crores. As per reports, the actor duped the elderly woman on the promise of returning her a 2.5% interest. The investigation is currently underway and Police will soon record their statements in this case.

ANI tweeted, “Case registered against 6 people including actor Manoj Bohra alias Karanvir Bohra for allegedly cheating a 40-year-old woman of Rs 1.99 crores after promising to return it at 2.5% interest; woman claimed that only an amount of over Rs 1cr was returned: Oshiwara PS.” The news wire added that both Karanvir and his wife Teejay Sidhu didn’t respond properly when the woman approached them and asked for her amount. The woman also claimed that Bohra and his wife Teejay threatened to shoot her. In another follow-up tweet, the agency posted, “The woman also claimed that when she asked for the amount, Bohra & his wife Tajinder Sidhu did not respond properly & threatened to shoot her. Meanwhile, Karanvir Bohra was recently seen in Kangana Ranaut-hosted reality show Lock Upp where he talked about suffering a financial crisis and revealed he was in huge debt. He mentioned that from 2015 till now, whatever work he took up, it was only to return the money or pay back his debts. 

On the show, Bohra said,  “I am down in the worst debt of my life. Matlab main dhus chuka hoon, waisa waala sir bhi bahar nahi mera.. I at least have 3-4 cases on me for not paying money back. From 2015 to now, whatever work I take up is only to return the money or pay back my debts. Agar mein jagah koi aur hota toh he would have committed suicide. If it would have not been for Teejay, mom, dad and my kids, I don't know what I would have done. For me, this show is a lifeline."
